Panking's 2024 JAV Retrospective: Favorite Debuts and Honorable Mentions

In today's post, I'll be highlighting my personal top five favorite debuts of the year. There are quite a few pairs of big tits so don't be too surprised by my choices. I'll also go over five honorable films that just barely missed my top 20 cut. So without further ado, let's dive in!

I know it's a little bit of a cheat to include Ayu on here as she's technically a re-debut after being out of the game for about seven years now but I'm gonna include her anyway. She went completely under my radar back in the day likely due to her working mostly with smaller name studios. But now she's back sporting a more mature look with an equally juicy appearance. She's clearly got a good bit of meat on her, boasts some delightfully plump tits, and even has a surprisingly decent booty. Her body overall could be in a little better shape but I personally didn't mind too much. Ayu has only been back for a couple of months so she doesn't have that many new releases yet but MIAB-364 has been the best so far and showcases both her body and acting ability quite well. She may not be a world-class performer yet but is getting better after having been away for many years. I'm eager to see what she has in store for 2025.

We got bazooka tits with Ai Kano and now we got torpedo tits with Shio Asami. Jokes aside, I've been liking what I'm seeing so far from her. Granted it's still a rather small sample size but she makes for some great eyecandy. Yes her boobs are obviously fake but they look pretty decent relatively speaking. Best of all though has to be her insane nipples. Those things can cut glass. Admittedly the rest of her isn't too special as her face and body are just fine at best. Also, she hasn't really showed any flashes as a performer just yet but it's still early. Not everyone can be Himari or Hana Kurosaki after all. She's more of a guilty pleasure at this point but hopefully, over time she can start improving and hitting her stride.

S1 has been pumping out the big titty monsters as of late and Yu Tano is their model. While I'm not as high on her as some fans may be, I still think she's nice and fills a slightly different niche than other busty S1 actresses. She's much slimmer for one which is a key reason why I'm not the biggest diehard fan. This also results in her having a flat pancake ass sadly. Thankfully, it's all uphill from here. She's got a rather cute face with a bright smile. This is matched by her equally bubbly personality which often shines through during her videos. So far she's proven to be a great performer for a rookie, especially during paizuri. And to address her most notable aspect, yes her boobs are quite nice. They're obviously very saggy but I like their shape, size, and those large areolas. She seems to be selling extremely well too as she's placed in the top 10 sales charts the previous two months in a row. S1 seems to have a real star on its hands.

Coming in as my second favorite debut of the year we have Hana Kurosaki. I wasn't quite sure what to expect from her upon my first watch but she quickly grew on me and has quickly become a favorite of mine. The "gal" look has really faded away over the years so it's very refreshing to have someone like Hana bringing it back. And she does so in a convincing fashion without it feeling fake. Speaking of fake, yes her boobs are augmented. I'll admit they don't look the best but that's my only issue with her. Her body overall more than makes up for this as she's super fit with some great thighs and an even better ass. Even better is that she's showing some serious potential as a performer. She's got more energy than most other debuts combined with excellent engagement and vibrant facial expressions. If she's already cooking this early, her potential is sky-high.

There have certainly been a few brilliant debuts this year but none better than Himari. It's funny as at first I really wasn't a huge fan. But her past few videos have been absolutely amazing and she's been crushing it ever since. Now the reason for my apprehensiveness was her unsightly midriff marred by some lipo work. I haven't gotten over it completely but her other aspects outshine this negative completely. Obviously, her huge natural tits are a major draw and what she's best known for but she's got a nice round booty as well. What stands out the most with Himari and sets her apart from other rookies is her phenomenal acting ability. She's performing like a seasoned pro so far and she's not even a year in. I'm not sure if she's worked in the sex industry beforehand as she almost seems too experienced. She's got such a heightened sensuality with lively facial expressions. It really seems like she's genuinely enjoying herself during her films. Himari has really hit the ground running as she's even won a few awards already such as Best Newcomer and Best Actress courtesy of Moodyz. Himari is poised to dominate in 2025 and I'm all for it.

Alice Otsu has starred in multiple doujinshi adaptations but this one may just be her best. The setup casts Alice as a lewd schoolgirl who is bored and teases a male classmate daring him to fondle her chest. He manages to work up the courage to do so and impresses Alice in the process leading her to make him her personal sex pet. The rest of the film follows Alice as she has her way with him both at school and at home. It's a premise that suits her extremely well and she fits the devilish schoolgirl role perfectly. An all-around great fit. A huge part of that is due to her excellent performance. She's very lively as you'd expect with solid facial expressions and consistent enthusiasm. And she takes control with ease making for some fun moments such as when she puts a collar and leash on his neck and makes him eat her out while wrapping her legs around him. It's never too over the top resulting in a compelling watch.

Another big highlight here is the action consisting of two sex scenes, an assjob scene, and a blowjob scene. The fake cumshot in the assjob scene unfortunately brings it down and the pacing could've been better in some spots. Maybe trim the last scene down to expand somewhere else. But everything else is fantastic. I really liked the blowjob scene as she sucks him off from under the desk in the library making for a thrilling watch. We get lots of her trademark squirting too and plenty of ass focus. The production values are solid too with decent lighting although a little more variety would've been appreciated. I do love her schoolgirl outfit though and the nice range of settings. MIMK-164 easily stands as one of the better doujinshi adaptations in recent times thanks to its great action, fun setup, and Alice's energetic performance. You can't go wrong with this one.

I've made no attempt to hide the fact that Ai Kano is one of my biggest guilty pleasures. Sure she's not the best performer and her midriff is a tad unsightly. But I absolutely loved her stupidly huge bazooka tits. She's like a hentai milf come to life. Now you pair her up with the GOAT director in Nao Masaki and you've got a real winning recipe. The premise here is a tad thin as it basically just puts Ai Kano more in the driver's seat as she plays a more dominant role taking the lead over generally submissive men. There are a few slightly themed scenarios such as having her playing a busty masseuse or my favorite when she seduces a stranger in an elevator and gives him one of the best tittyfucks I've seen all year. Now I will get my one and really only gripe out of the way first which is her admittedly middling performance. She's not terrible but doesn't quite hit the highs you'd want to see with a film like this.

I liked her general enthusiasm but her facial expressions are a mixed bag on top of being a little too stiff at times. It's all uphill afterward as the action is simply brilliant with three sex scenes and two paizuri scenes. Every scene feels distinct from the rest and are all satisfying in their own right. I especially loved the last scene with its great position variety(particularly doggystyle) and her overall appearance which is amazing. That's easily one of the biggest highlights here, the eyecandy factor. She herself and her huge milk cannons look stunning. All her outfits fit the slutty vibe of the film excellently. In particular, the micro bikini in the final scene takes the crown as my favorite. We get some solid POV camerawork too although they go a little too heavy on the fish eye at times. That said, this is still easily one of her very best films ever. If Ai Kano had delivered a slightly better performance, this could've easily punched into my top 20.

Haru Minato is really frustrating. She releases a film once every few months and then dips out. Likely just to boost her side hustle job. That said, it seems to be a matter of quality over quantity at least as this particular film made for a stellar watch. The premise is pretty simple as it places Haru in various situations while going braless as she inadvertently seduces random guys. Some examples include her working as a yoga instructor, bartender, and office boss. It's a serviceable setup that is heavily bolstered by its great variety. Now obviously one of the best things about this theme and Haru herself is the eyecandy factor and it's on full display here. I forgot just how ridiculous her boobs are. Those things are hefty and are easily among the very best I've ever seen in JAV. The production values certainly play a hand in enhancing that element. The lighting is generally good although it could've been better in the first scene with it being a little too saturated for my liking.

Her wardrobe is also superb with several nice outfits consisting of tight see-through shirts showcasing her immaculate chest. The camerawork is on the mark too with some amazing shots. Now performance-wise, I can't say a whole lot really. She's not a complete dead fish at least but still leaves quite a bit to be desired with middling enthusiasm and engagement. Her facial expressions at least weren't too bad but still nothing too noteworthy. A better performance would've easily elevated this to my top 20. The action on the other hand is fantastic featuring three sex scenes and a paizuri scene. Every scene is satisfying and ends with a real cumshot which is always a plus. Also, the position variety is excellent with an equal mix of cowgirl, doggystyle, and missionary. SONE-188 is an ultimately simple but effective watch. Sometimes you just want a big ol' pair of titties and this film definitely delivers on that front.

Without a doubt, this is hands down one of my favorite covers of the year. I love that subtle but sexy school nurse attire where you can see her huge tits bulging out complete with the pantyhose and glasses. Not only is the cover amazing, but the video itself is too. The setup centers around Yuria as a voluptuous school nurse who gives some "hands-on" treatment to some lucky male students, such as when one student comes to her complaining about some pain down there and she then proceeds to inspect it for herself before giving him a tittyfuck. It's a great premise that blends both a nurse and school theme to excellent effect. One major highlight of this film has to be her acting easily as she absolutely delivers. She's subtly seductive with a very comforting aura which fits the theme perfectly. I also appreciate that she's not too over the top either and her facial expressions align with that. Now by far one of the film's best aspects has to be her wardrobe and the overall production.

I absolutely love her signature outfit consisting of the doctor's coat, pantyhose, and glasses. It gives her a nice professional yet still sexy look. Not to mention the lingerie piece she sports in the last scene is a stunner as well and it frames her thick body extremely well helping to showcase her juicy curves in smoking hot fashion. I really like the lighting too especially in the last scene which goes for a bright and saturated look but is still quite soft helping to compliment her plump figure. Capping all this off is the superb action consisting of two sex scenes with one being a threesome along with two paizuri scenes. I appreciate that most scenes give us real cumshots and are all mostly satisfying besides a scene or two taking a bit too long to get going but it's not too problematic.

Karen Yuzuriha had a pretty solid year all around with many great films to pick from but for me personally, this was the best one. The premise is extremely straightforward with it based around gangbangs and group sex. As expected the focus is entirely on the action as it gradually ramps up the intensity and number of actors as the film rolls on. There may be only three scenes here but each one is better than the last with no weak spots at all. The first two feature a series of tittyfucks at the beginning while the last scene is a straight gangbang right at the start. You all know I love paizuri so I thoroughly enjoyed all the tittyfucking, especially with it boasting real cumshots. The overall pacing is very brisk and offers up a wide range of positions making for an entertaining watch all the way through.

Karen's performance also deserves praise as she does a splendid job. She always manages to sell the action and intensity very well. Karen maintains a steady upbeat energy and really takes the pounding like a champ. It's very hot watching her get passed around like a sex toy in the final scene. Tying into this is the superb camerawork that really excels at capturing all the busy gangbang action. Sometimes it's easy to get lost in the sauce but credit to the crew here for putting on an excellent production. The lighting is decent too and big props to her hair/makeup as she really looks stunning. And as I touched upon earlier I love that the pacing is perfectly balanced across each scene with no slowdowns at all. All this makes for one of my favorite gangbang films in years thanks to its standout action and quality performance courtesy of Karen.
