What is the Difference Between Anal and Vaginal Scenes in JAV?

Anal and vaginal appear very similar at a glance for a number of reasons, and the most obvious might be the camera techniques. JAV often make use of similar camera angles for both vaginal and anal, whether it be close-up, over-the-shoulder, from the side or from down below, due to the holes being close to each other. It's almost like they're one and the same, and thus the camera angles used are often similar. For the actors themselves, vaginal sex allows for natural movement and positions changes, but anal is obviously much more difficult and compromising. Misalignment could easily cause pain for the actress, so the actor and actress must work closely together, which demonstrates a higher level of control and skill. All this is minor in comparison to the preparation required for anal.

As can be expected, anal is just a whole other monster, as preparation for it starts far before the cameras even start recording. Actresses alter their diet beforehand, avoiding consuming large amounts of food or certain foods that might be problematic to the digestive tract later down the line. Some actresses just fast completely, and this is to ensure cleanliness and prevent any distasteful fluids from appearing during the scene. Enemas are naturally also used to maximize hygiene, which is surely a pain in the literal ass.

Actresses also make sure to stretch before taking part in the fated scene, as the anal cavity isn't meant for penetration. Special plugs and even their own fingers are used to loosen the anal area, and the whole process can even sometimes take up to an hour, which depends on the actress' experience level and body. Of course, lubrication is also a must, and it is a continuous necessity throughout the scene to help keep things moving (literally) while reducing friction.

During a vaginal sex scene, the penetration allows for a wide range of motion, and the actress can easily adjust to a position change with no discomfort or need for a pause or break. Due to this, anal scenes can often take longer to film.

There's also the fact that an actress' reactions aren't usually the same either. As you could likely guess, vaginal penetration allows for better flow as the woman feels an actually pleasurable sensation (usually), and with anal, due to there being no pleasure or sometimes discomfort, the actress relies on her ability to act. Sometimes the actress will be a bit more dramatic or exaggerate to hide how she's actually feeling, and in some cases she could even sound more high-pitched.

Those who enjoy witnessing anal sequences often find appeal in the rarity of said content, as well as the perception of it being "extreme". Not every actress commits to the arduous endeavor that is anal, so some see it as a more "exclusive" category, which also adds to the enjoyment.
