JAV Agency Rundown: 8 Man Promotion

Hey guys, Oppaira here. Agencies are a pretty fundamental part of the JAV ecosphere that we don't really talk a lot about so I thought I'd start a series of posts going over them. I've done quite a few of them now so hopefully you're getting the picture a little better. To recap I've done: Bambi Promotion, C-more Entertainment, Life Promotion, Light Promotion, Mine'S Pro, and T-Powers. Today we're running down 8 Man Production, one of the most well known agencies out there. Let's go see what they have in store for us!

Whether you call her by her current name Hikaru or either of her previous names Aka or Shiose, this 2020 debut is a looker for sure. She has particularly been known for her huge boobs, especially as of late with her taking the plunge into some surgery. It's been the spark of a lot of debate recently, some disappointed to see an amazing pair of tits go under the knife and get some silicone, others happy to see a somewhat saggy pair of tits get a facelift. Regardless, I think two things are true: Hikaru is hot and her performing is awful. She's kind of the epitome of Rara Anzai, it's like they took the spirit of Rara and transplanted it to her because Hikaru is perhaps even worse as a performer. It's a good thing she's as attractive as she is because she might not be as captivating, and we'll have to see if she gains or loses supporters after her implants.

Kanna Fuji has turned out to be one of my favourite debuts from 2022. You might not suspect that just by looking at her but the intricacies of what makes Kanna unique make her stand out in a good way. She has a slim figure, sure, but it's toned very nicely from her ballerina past not to mention how flexible her body is. She finds herself often in unique positions that puts her flexibility on display all the time. It's something that really sets her apart as an actress and I don't see other actresses doing that. Yes, many actresses are generally flexible, but Kanna does it to a level you just never, ever see. It's helped cement herself as one of the big names at Madonna and being part of the major 25th anniversary stuff is a sign of great things from her.

Mai feels like this little gem of an actress tucked in the corner over at S1. That's mostly because S1 just has actress after actress that is incredible, hell there are eight on this list alone that have worked there at some point. Mai is one of those actresses you just want to enjoy: active on social media with some personality and honestly just juicy enough in all the right places to be appealing to pretty much everyone. I can understand if you say Hikaru Nagi's boobs are too big (okay maybe I don't understand but I'll at least nod my head like I do) or if Kanna's flexibility isn't your thing, but Mai is that all-rounder you not only want to love but ultimately will.

Mei Washio has been a bright spot for S1's roster whether you've been following her since her Jun days all the way back in 2019 or not. A lot of us get a bit skewed of a view by looking at actresses that have insanely long careers but even five years is a good amount for actresses. Mei has been a pretty steady force for them for this time, being this nice medium of big boobs and cute. It's not just her cute face but her cute personality that shines through. Sometimes it does come off like she's a bit inexperienced as an actress but it's that innocent charm that sets her apart. If you want an actress that still manages to capture the essence of a debut actress without the worst of it, Mei is your girl.

Momoko is a mature actress I really came to enjoy once I started watching her. She has a flair for the dramatics with her over-the-top performing, and while it might not be for everyone it definitely casts her as being more unique than most of Madonna's roster. I think she stands out not because she does that style but because that style isn't what mature women are usually doing. There's supposed to be this air of sophistication, or at least experience, where you expect them to be a bit more calm and collected. Even despite what I suspect are enhancements from her I've still enjoyed her a lot, only made better by the fact she's one of the few actresses thanking her international fans on Twitter. I mean sure, it's probably her agency doing it, but as a fan I'll take whatever they dish out, and 8 Man really tries with her to be a champion of the fans. If you're looking for a milf that isn't the same old style, Momoko is for sure one to check out.

Nene is a 2017 debut that has been pretty popular since her debut at S1. She was originally one of the few that jumped ship to Faleno when they made waves with their splash onto the scene. She definitely appealed big time to the crowd that likes younger, cuter actresses, which is more or less the opposite of my own preferences. It's not hard to see why she's adored by many, she's got that lovable look that is full of innocence that Japanese men everywhere search high and low for. If she said she was embarrassed in a film probably half the country would nut on the spot. And for 8 Man it's really great to see them have someone who shakes things up a bit considering the other women definitely come off a little curvier and a little more mature than Nene.

Rin Hachimitsu has been pretty popular since her debut just over two years ago at Idea Pocket. She's kind of been touted as like this perfect porcelain woman with her slim figure and big tits. Okay maybe not perfect since those tits are filled with plastic but she wound up doing a video for Faleno touting her as an AI with godlike proportions (95cm H cup boobs, a 55cm waist, and 90cm hips) so clearly that's the intention. Where else can you find a waist differential of 35cm? 8 Man has got some great women but none of them are quite that physically gifted like Rin is. And again, sure, not all natural, but sometimes who cares? If I'm being honest I feel like Faleno is a lesser home for Rin than Idea Pocket was but it also felt like an inevitability knowing that pretty much all their top talent is either there, at S1, or at Madonna, and she sure as hell wasn't headed to Madonna. At any rate she's still got a long career ahead of her and she'll do great at Faleno.

Suzume strikes me as perhaps the best success story of Faleno. A lot of their talent is imported which is to say they've taken them from other studios, as we've seen with both Nene and Rin above. Suzume is a debut for them, now on their mature label Dahlia, and she's been with them ever since debuting (unlike Ai Hongo who left for S1). Suzume's got that fierce resting bitch look that sells hot milf perfectly. I mean just look at that photo of her and tell me otherwise. I could totally envision her as the kind of women to emasculate you and then laugh at you for getting hard from it. Her career has been going pretty well even if she's lacking a lot of variety. Sometimes you just need a good home to stay at which Faleno has been for her. Surely she'll be around for years to come and catch up to the actress right below.

To say Tsukasa has been around the block is an understatement as this 14 year veteran has been around for a lifetime, the longest of any actress in my article. She's been really popular for many years, partially due to her success on S1 after 8 Man left the sinking ship of Alice Japan. Some people might remember her from the cameo she had in the Netflix series The Naked Director though I'm guessing most people reading this will be more familiar with her ass instead. That ass has always been her best quality, plump in all the right places. You may or may not be a fan of her fake tits but that ass is hard to deny.

Like Nene, Yuko was one of the first actresses to jump ship to Faleno when they burst onto the scene. Having six years under her belt and fresh off a half year break, Yuko was ready to be an anchor for them as a studio, which she has done valiantly since joining them, moving to their Dahlia label once they opened that up. As someone with 10 years of experience you can really expect a level of comfort from her as she's well versed as an actress. Or, you can simply enjoy a woman with a great physique like hers, having a beautifully mature face, some great boobs, and just all around great.

Maria is an actress I think a lot of us are sad to see in the retired column. She was pretty, busty, and started to really garner a following right before she left. There's always this teasing about whether she's really gone or not but at some point we need to just accept she's gone and be excited if she makes a comeback. We can at least look back fondly on the career of someone who was so promising. She really had the petite game on lock down, standing at just 143cm and yet having G cup boobs. Sure, most actresses are pretty small, but this brings a whole new meaning to busty petite, and a big reason why so many of us will remember her for years to come.

Now we have the OG Rara, the one and only Rara Anzai. Probably many will remember her from her RION days or even quite possibly her Shion Utsunomiya days, or if you're a real OG you might remember her from her Rara Anzai days during gravure before she made the transition to JAV. What can I say about Rara that the picture itself doesn't? Rara is a 10/10 from the front and it's as simple as that. She's beautiful, has some of the most perfect boobs out there, and has a slim figure to boot. Sure, there have been some periods in her career where she was a bit heavier, but that also went to her boobs in a way huge boob lovers like myself absolutely loved. She has always been known for being a weak performer and the butt of many jokes about JAV acting in general but how much does one truly need to do when you're that hot? Let's face it, she won the genetic lottery and gets to live life on easy mode.

Riho Agatsuma is the epitome of disappointment for me. You see, I first watched her when she debuted and she disappeared after just four videos. It was then that I realized you need a little bit more to ensure they're going to stick around and she has been a driving force for how I watch debuts. You'd think I was stoked when she came back and was working at Dahlia, and I was, but she left us once again after a few months. Riho is so insanely pretty that even the people who normally wouldn't step near Madonna (where she debuted the first time) were eagerly watching her. 8 Man just has this way of finding some of the most attractive women and one can only hope they can find more like Riho with a little more staying power.

When I look at 8 Man production the first thing that comes to mind is how good a job they do at maintaining the top of their roster. Considering that 8woman.jp is a thing you can tell just how much effort they put into the top few on their team. They're constantly doing photo shoots or exhibits with their top actresses in a way nobody else is doing. That's for better or worse in my opinion as it's great to see them really hone in and promote their actresses so well but it also creates a tier within their roster and perhaps even some fierce competition to be at the top. I can only imagine what it's like for Hibari Hijiri knowing your agency doesn't really care as much about you as the top few. And honestly, if you're not seriously going to compete for one of those top 8 spots you might as well not be on their roster. Which honestly is a huge shame to the agency because they are seriously really good at what they do but just only have the capacity to do it 8 times.

8 Man is also a roster filled with all exclusives. Maybe it's just a personal preference for them as a studio but it feels like some of their actresses could be so much more. There are definitely a couple who could hit the open market and do well and it's just so strange to see them so singularly focused. Even with their roster it's pretty much all centered at S1, Faleno, and Madonna, with rare exceptions like Yura Kudo going from SOD (which is just as good as S1) to Attackers or Tina Nanami going from SOD -> Faleno -> Attackers. Almost feels like their plan is streamlined: start them off at as big of a studio as they can, dump them to Faleno when they pass their prime, and then go to Attackers jail if they're trying to cling on. The worst part is, I can't even knock it with the success they clearly have. 5 exclusives at a reasonably big studio like Faleno (which they were tweeting earlier this year during Faleno's 5th anniversary) is clearly good results.
