JAV Sales Report - March 2024

Welcome to the March Sales Report. Is Moodyz's Bako Bako Bus Tour still doing well? What about S1's new busty actresses? Read on to find out!

Kiho Kanematsu is a Muteki debut and we all know how Muteki debuts go, right? They're always overhyped because of the quality we've seen out of Muteki in the past, particularly their princess Yua Mikami. They've definitely had far more than just Yua including Shoko Takahashi and Nanami Matsumoto, but definitely Yua was the major star. We last saw Kaoru Yasui from Muteki who turned out to be a bit of a waste, debuting really high up and falling off the charts incredibly quickly. I can't say that I have faith in Kiho given what Muteki has done lately but it's a gamble that others are willing to take.

Himari has now debuted and wow oh wow does she have some incredible tits on a slim figure. What you see is what you get and it's quite nice, no doubt about it. I'm not sure I'm convinced she compares to the K cup debuts we got from S1 last year but I'll reserve final judgements until after I fully review her for debut season later this year. I will say that she's definitely no Hitomi which was my first reaction when they said 110cm Q Cup (Hitomi was 113cm O Cup). She's still looking quite promising, especially with how much social media presence she has, so hopefully things go well with her career from here on out and I get something incredible to watch when I get around to reviewing her.

Remu Suzumori doesn't get a ton of love on the sales reports so it's always good to take the opportunity when she does. She's one of the aces of Prestige but because of their own website and them temporarily leaving Prestige she hasn't made the list all that much. This more recent one features her as the "pet" and has her getting deepthroated, her tits splayed against some glass, or having sex with her wearing a collar. It looks hot as far as simple sex videos go and I could get somewhat behind it. I'm personally not a huge fan of Remu but it's been years since I've seen her and I'm planning something a bit later this year where I may watch her again. Who knows, maybe this is one I could watch.

So the Bako Bako Bus Tour is still doing extremely well this time on the digital sales. That's unsurprising as we typically see a one month lag on that front since DVDs go up for preorder while digital do not. What is absolutely wild is looking how the sales report lines up with the actresses in this. The top 17 actresses on the list are all in this video and it doesn't even stop there, more of them are on the list too. It's unfathomable to think that it sold this well but the report is abundantly clear about it. I'm kind of excited to see how long this can stay on the list, mostly because I want to see the industry realize it's a good idea and return to some normalcy. We used to get lots of videos like these but it's been years and I'm hoping the results here will be convincing to not just Moodyz but to others as well.

Continuing off of the success of the bus tour we have another similar video starring Ayaka Mochizuki, Mao Hamasaki, Azusa Misaki, and Chanyota. Apparently there's always a lesser bus tour video afterward and this cast looks spicy, particularly Mao and Ayaka. Having them get wet and wild looks hot and Chanyota is always this interesting wildcard as the wrestler she is. I'm just really hoping we see strong sales for this for as many cycles as we can to keep convincing studios to make this kind of content.

Mary Tachibana is someone we've been discussing a lot lately and for good reason. Her career is peaking right now which is crazy considering next month will be her 10 year anniversary. That's absolutely wild that it took her 10 years to peak but I'm glad she's living her best life right now between her blooming career and her spot on Black Diamond. This video up above is one I've seen a few times before and I absolutely loved it. The couple I saw from Hibiki Otsuki and Hana Himesaki were lovely and absolute bangers. If there was any Mary Tachibana video I would recommend watching I'd put my faith in this one.

Mitsuri Nagahama continues to be quite popular and I can totally understand why. She looks very pretty and has some nice boobs. Now that she's getting herself an image video she's showing even stronger results. We don't often see image videos on our top sales which just goes to show how physically attractive she must be. She's one of the debuts I am most excited to start watching and maybe I'll start watching a little earlier this year if everyone is convinced she's that good.

Moe Amatsuka, Nene Yoshitaka, Chiharu Mitsuha, Mami Mashiro star as a group in this Faleno anniversary video. I can honestly say I don't watch enough Faleno to even know Chiharu or Mami though it goes without saying they are not my type. Hell, Moe and Nene are not my type either but being mainstays at S1 in the past has found them on my radar at some point. I like this pair of photos since it gives you a sense of both the front and back for you to decide which you prefer. I think most people like the front more because I think most people find Moe and Nene quite pretty but I might be more compelled by them from behind because their tits are both on the small side. Either way I'm always glad to see studios do a little more interesting content like this, especially grouping up the big names, and hopefully Faleno can learn from Moodyz to do more interesting stuff.

Nozomi Ishihara and Rikka Ono are once again in the spotlight with this pair of videos. I've seen a number of hentai adaptations and I find they can be all over the place. I've recently come to find out that they sometimes have the original author of the manga come be on set for the day to help ensure everything is done right which explains why some of them are done so well, especially from a visual standpoint. I think it also helps explain where some of them get extra content from when the video is longer than the manga.

It's also a bit interesting to see how this affected the sales because Nozomi is up in second and Rikka is up in 19th on the digital sales. The difference is explained by Nozomi being in the Bako Bako Bus Tour film with Rikka not being there. What's interesting is seeing so many Moodyz actresses on that bus tour while Rikka was essentially snubbed. I don't know what makes them take Nozomi or Ibuki over Mio Ishikawa or Rikka Ono but I find it interesting to contemplate.

Mio Ishikawa continues to do well for herself this month with a VR film stacking up. 8K VR is something incredible and makes me wonder if there's a world where guys will prefer VR to the real thing. I don't know about that personally, the real thing is nice, but I also can't enjoy the company of the most beautiful women in the world from the privacy of my own home at a moment's notice (oh how great this world would be if I could). At any rate this one looks kind of mediocre to me but I also can't say I'm the target audience when I'm not a fan of Mio Ishikawa. Sara Futaba (二羽紗愛) continues to be one of the most promising debuts for me. I know nothing of her other than she has lovely K cup tits and that's honestly enough for me. I'm hoping that she debuted early enough that by the late summer we can get the interesting content I'm hoping to see.

Koharu Shiina (椎名心春) is another debut this year though one I am far less interested in than others mentioned, for obvious reasons. It's not that E cup boobs are small but they're not G, K, or Q cup like the other debuts I posted above. I also look at her and find her a little plain, something SOD has done a few times. They tend to be good at finding these diamond in the rough type actresses that are actually prettier than they first appear. I'll be very curious to see what kind of actress she ends up whether that's more like Yotsuha Kominato, Ten Ayase, or maybe even Rei Kamiki. If I were betting I'd say I expect her to turn out more like Ten but we'll see, wouldn't be the first time I've been wrong about someone less busty.

Suzume Mino (美乃すずめ) did quite well for herself this month, no doubt off the back off her April Fools pregnancy joke. It's all in good spirits and definitely a laugh to see but as they say, there's no such thing as bad publicity. I find pregnancy in JAV is way too rare whether real or fake. I'm a huge fan of going the extra mile in videos and a prop like this is surprisingly nice. I wish more studios would do it and maybe after seeing some success from Suzume we can see some more of it.

Satomi Miyamoto (宮本聡美) or Riria as I've heard her go by is a 2024 Fitch debut that's doing surprisingly well for herself. I've heard she's really not all that special (and I'm inclined to agree) but I also know my preferences aren't quite what the average domestic fan likes. I'll be curious to see how she pans out over the rest of the year but I have low expectations of her and don't plan on reviewing her.

Yuri Oshikawa (推川ゆうり), Rena Fukiishi (吹石れな), Kana Kusakabe (日下部加奈), and Rei Kimura (木村玲衣) star together in one hell of a video. As I put in my [watchlist post] I'm excited to see this one. It's a Samoari film but at the same time it has such an incredible cast, incredible enough that I don't even care that it's a Samoari film. I think it really shows how tits at Madonna have evolved in recent months as three of them are exclusive and one of them is a former exclusive. Kana's tits are a bit nicer than the rest of them but even Rena, Rei, and Yuri's tits are quite nice. Yeah they're not new S1 debut nice but they're better than what Oppai has on their roster these days and that's quite telling. Hopefully this video turns out to not be a Samoari scam and I can be happy about the cast.

Sumire Mizukawa (水川スミレ), Yuki Takeuchi (竹内有紀), Rio Kuriyama (栗山莉緒), and Nami Okimiya (沖宮那美) teamed up in a recent month for a spicy one. I always like seeing group videos like this from studios that rarely do it and Madonna surprisingly does it quite infrequently despite the size of their roster. Maybe this 20th anniversary stuff will convince them to keep doing this after they see the success of some of these videos. I think sometimes you need to do these things to keep fans engaged in some of the actresses. This video has a good mix, you've got an actress that recently transferred in Sumrie that's nice, Rio who has been there for a little while now, one of the better debuts in Nami, and the body builder Yuki who I think is the one fans are least excited about. If you're Yuki you're getting lucky starring in a more interesting film to raise your stocks, if you're Nami you're getting the option to spread your wings a bit and cast a wider net to new fans. I really like seeing Sumrie in a film like this because she really doesn't star with costars very often. Ultimately I'm just glad to see Madonna give us some variety and hopefully we can continue getting some good variety.

Haru Shibasaki (柴崎はる) is someone that continues to surprise me when she does this well. SOD originally hyped her up as an employee of the studio that turned into a JAV actress. It's an interesting way to spin a new actress and I think suits her physically because of her short hair. You can see that she still has both extremely short hair and her employee badge as if they want to keep up these things as much as possible. I find that it's probably a great idea to continue to do both since she seems otherwise unremarkable to me. Take the two major selling points for her, focus heavily on them, and hope people buy into it. I find this style of actress is one that's hard to enjoy every month because you're somewhat limited but at the same time it's good for lower tier actresses who otherwise don't have much of a selling point. At least there's something that people can get interested in every once in a while. It's telling enough they have little faith in her considering she's on their female employee label (yes, they really do have a label called 女子社員 which really does translate to female employee) but it's interesting nonetheless and she seems to be doing well there.

Mahiro Ichiki (市来まひろ) perhaps known better by her former name Yume Takeda is a recent debut for Madonna. There have been a lot of surprising pickups by Madonna in recent times and Mahiro is just the latest of them. Mahiro debuted back in 2017 for SOD, spent a couple years there, and then spent some time freelancing. She's definitely aged since her debut (and for the better I might add) though it's not necessarily clear to me Madonna is the place to be. I mean sure she looks the part but I feel like once you get to Madonna exclusive land your career can go downhill very fast. There's basically no going back from it, you're either stuck in Madonna or stuck working for bottom tier studios. We'll have to see how long Mahiro can remain at Madonna but I know some people were excited to see her back so hopefully she can remain there for a while yet.
