S1: Tits Across Time
Hey guys, Oppaira here. Last year we saw an unprecedented year from S1 where they managed to attract an insane amount of busty ladies to their roster. Not just busty but some gigantic tits that were complete head turners, particularly Haru Minato and Momoka Kagura who are both a whopping 108K cup. Ever since that happened I've been wondering to myself exactly how incredible last year was. We've all known S1 has had some fantastically busty ladies over the years but have years past stacked up well against 2023? Or perhaps to put it a little more succinctly: was 2023 the year with the best tits on their roster? Come take a stroll through memory lane with me as we figure out the answer to that question.
Before that let's just take a quick peak at what we're up against. 2023 brought us a ton of great debuts in Haru, Miyu, Ren, and Momoka. That's on top of plenty of long term veterans like Aika and Saki or some returning heavy hitters like Hikari, Mei, and Konan. So get strapped in as we go see if there's a different year that can possibly compete with this because I'll be very honest and say that I'm pretty sure there's no way S1 has ever had it this good.
S1 by Year
My first thought was that we're talking about over the course of many years and that's a bit tricky to compare. While Rara Anzai worked over the course of 10 years not everyone spent that much time at S1. Many actresses left very quickly, and the real question we came to answer was whether last year itself was the best or not. It seemed only fair to compare by year, so let's go year by year and see how they each stack up.
While going through I'm going to keep track of which year is my favourite until we finally get to 2023 and can do a comparison between the best year and 2023 to answer our question. I hope that keeps you all on the edge of your seats each round to see who keeps winning.
For reference, I curated a set of 10 names per year just to keep this post on the more reasonable side, I'd need way too many parts to examine every year with a fine-toothed comb. I also decided to use any actress who released during the year regardless of how much time they spent on the roster (so even a single release qualified them).
2013
2013 starts us off with a pretty incredible year. At the top of the list we've got Hana Haruna, Ran Niiyama, and Rara Anzai, all with some spectacular pairs. This year was when both Ran and Rara debuted. Ran debuted at 110K Cup which is pretty close to the exact size of Haru/Momoka whereas Rara's were a bit smaller at 105J; still quite lovely though. And let's not forget Hana's 108K cup tits that were actually identical in size to Haru/Momoka's.
We've also got Aika Yumeno and Saki Okuda who are worth talking about briefly because they'll be making our list for a long time to come. I've always thought their pairs go hand in hand, they're both petite women with large pairs that fit their bodies perfectly. As much as I would strongly prefer some over-the-top sized boobs there's something about a pair that just looks right.
For now 2013 is our top year by default.
2014
2014 was also a pretty incredible year considering the majority of the top of their roster stayed the same. Risa Shiina and Yuma Asami both left and were replaced with AOI and Harura Mori. While Harura Mori only appears in 2014, AOI will show up on many more. For me, AOI was always one of the lowest on the top 10 each year just barely making the cut each time. The same was true about Nami Hoshino. Honestly, both of them I think are more known for their asses but their tits have always been pretty solid too. They're evidently nice enough to make a top 10 list if you make it just a single year and only S1 but they wouldn't hold up to the top 10 of all time at S1.
Personally 2013 still takes the cake for me if ever so slightly. I just simply don't see AOI edging out Yuma Asami's pair but I wouldn't really argue with anyone who picked 2014. With just two negligible changes it really doesn't make much of a difference.
2015
2015 is the first time we get some actual changes with four of the actresses swapping out. To me the real major change was Hana Haruna moving on from S1 as her 108K cup tits would surely be missed. It was a good thing they got replaced by Aimi Yoshikawa's incredible pair because they really needed another good pair.
Aimi's pair strikes me as being slightly below the big three we had in Hana, Ran, and Rara. That being said, Mika Utada's was also an upgrade compared to anyone else that dropped off the list, albeit that upgrade was small. If I really had to pick I'd still take Hana + someone over Mika + Aimi. For anyone keeping score, 2013 is still the top year thus far.
2016
2016 is the year Ran Niiyama dropped off the list, and since Aimi was only at S1 in 2015 we wound up with the only omega busty pair being Rara's. 2016 seemed like a pretty weak year to me as a result, and if I'm being honest there's just no way a year with just one omega busty actress could win.
2016 is also notably the year that Yua Mikami debuted at S1. I've always been pretty clear about saying Yua has nice boobs but I wish they were bigger. The testament to that is that they remained on the list every year except 2023, which perhaps hints a bit at our conclusion. I know some people may give me flak for that but I am who I am, and let's not pretend like there are bad choices I picked over hers anyway.
It goes without saying but 2013 is definitely still way out in front. You might reason with me that Mion Sonoda can compete with the likes of Yuma Asami's pair but there's no way you're trading me Hana Haruna and Ran Niiyama for, say Kurumi Hinagata and Miharu Usa and having me think it's a fair trade.
2017
2017 definitely changed things up compared to the previous year in an absolutely fantastic way. To start off S1 managed to snag Nana Fukada from E-Body and Nanami Matsumoto from Muteki which once again put them back up to the three omega busty pairs we were looking for.
At the time Nana Fukada felt like the second coming of Rara. Her tits rivaled Rara's no doubt about it and while I've never thought Nana was quite as pretty as Rara I certainly do think she's pretty enough that you wouldn't feel bad about getting Nana over Rara. For the record, Nana Fukada's tits were 107K cup, so basically the Haru/Momoka/Hana size.
We also had Nanami's debut, and while the actress she is today is miles better than she was on debut it's hard to ignore a 100J pair of tits. That size is conveniently the same size as both JULIA on debut and Shiori Tsukada so definitely a fantastic size.
Deciding whether 2017 was better than 2013 proved to be quite difficult. A lot of actresses actually compared quite well, like Yuri Oshikawa to Yua Mikami or Nana Fukada to Hana Haruna. Doing so basically left me with the decision of whether I prefer Nanami Matsumoto's to Ran Niiyama which was a very tough call to make. On the one hand Nanami is an actress I really have grown to love over the years but Ran had 110K cup tits compared to Nanami's 100J. Ultimately the big titty fiend in me says to stick to my motto: bigger is better. For now I'll keep 2013 as the top year and keep running with it.
2018
2018 retained all three of our busty ladies, at least technically anyway since Nana Fukada's final release was in February that year. Instead we got treated to Touka who would only work with S1 for a few months in 2018 but also Shion Yumi. I definitely don't think either of them, at least when comparing tits, make up for Nana, but as far as the way we're calculating for this post goes, Nana was still technically on their roster at some point in 2018. Being able to keep Nana + Nanami + Rara and add Touka + Shion was pretty big for them. Someone will probably jump me in the comments and tell me I'm doing Shunka dirty but I am who I am. At least she made the list, they're a surprisingly nice pair for their size and I've enjoyed them for years, but again size is king here.
For those keeping score at home 2018 is the year that finally took down 2013. Keeping as much equal as we can between the comparison in 2017, I think you're effectively left with Shion Yumi and Touka Rinne beating out Yua Kuramochi and Nami Hoshino (not to mention that Nami was still on their roster but she just didn't cut it for the top 10 for me in that year). As I mentioned for 2017, I basically just needed anything to tip the scales, and I'll easily take Touka's tits there and call it a day.
2019
2019 is when we saw Mei Washio debut (under the name Jun Kakei at the time) and she was definitely a welcome addition to the roster. Considering Nanami had graduated from S1 just three months prior this is exactly what they needed, especially with Nana also out the door. There was that brief couple of months where Shion Yumi's pair jumped up to first place, and I just don't think they were ever quite at the Nanami or Mei level. Even still, as an S1 fan 2019 felt like a weak year for the most part because we lost Nanami to freelance (not that I would call it a loss) and Rara was off doing whatever the hell she was doing. Mei stocks were way up simply because of the drought we went through.
I know I mentioned that I would only calculate at the year level and even a single video would count and it's a big reason why 2019 isn't by far the worst year. Both Nanami and Rara had just a single release there all year, Nanami's in January and Rara's in December. I mean sure, we'd still have other names like Miharu Usa and Mao Mashiro to add to the list but neither would be all that inspiring.
2019, compared to 2018, is basically a trade of Nana Fukada for Mei Washio and Touka Rinne for Nami Hoshino. Considering I skipped Nami in 2018 because there were better options it's hard to see a world where I say Mei's are that much better than Nana's, so I would keep 2018 as the best year still. Personally I think Nana's are slightly better than Mei's anyway, although like many such scenarios I wouldn't voice an objection if you thought otherwise.
2020
2020 was also another good year as we got Hikaru Nagi at the end of the year. Considering how Rara had disappeared again in the middle of the year it was great to see someone like Hikaru burst onto the scene. She was so needed at that time that I wound up reviewing her debut video, something I typically don't do. A year with Hikaru, Mei, and Rara was definitely a good year, although again very few videos from some of them.
2018 vs 2020 is actually a lot closer than you might think at first glance. Half of the top pairs remained the same and at the very top, both Mei and Hikaru compare well to Nanami and Nana, and I would be willing to say it's about a wash between the two groups. What it really came down to was if any of the remaining pairs in 2020 could topple Touka, and as much as I do like Maria's I just don't think she's toppling Touka and I'll keep 2018 as my top year once again.
2021
2021 kept a lot of what made 2020 good but gave us a couple of nice upgrades in Konan Koyoi and Ria Yamate. Say what you want about either of them but I've never heard anyone say anything bad about their tits, they both have fantastic pairs. I'm not sure most people were paying attention to either of them yet considering how new they both were, especially when Ria debuted in November. People were probably still looking at Rara but I think with the influx of some support for Rara considering double disappearing act in the previous couple of years, 2021 looked really nice. Yes, neither Konan nor Ria could stack up to Rara peak tits but at this point you probably had to start assuming Rara might just vanish forever one of these times (don't forget that she was on her third professional name as well, starting her JAV career as Shion Utsunomiya before changing it to RION).
Honestly when looking at the comparisons here there's a lot going for 2021. I'd take Maria over Aoi, Konan over Touka, and Ria over Shunka. I still say that Hukari + Mei vs Nanami + Nana is pretty close to a coin flip. The one thing I would really remind everyone her is that this is when Rara's tits were at their biggest. As much as I've always been lukewarm about Rara because of how mediocre she was as a performer when her tits were at their peak you better believe I was watching a ton of her. Honestly a little easier to pick 2021 than I thought it would be.
2022
2022 proved to be a lot of the same that we'd been seeing. We got Hinata Kaede added to the list replacing Shion Yumi who went on to become a freelancer. Basically S1 did a runback with as much of the roster as they could, and considering 2021 was the best year we had so far I can hardly blame them.
This is probably the easiest one to compare since there's just a single change in Shion for Hinata. Hinata had a pretty nice following, more than Shion did from my memory, but my chips are still on Shion's tits and thus I'm still taking 2021. That's even ignoring the fact that Rara's tits started to deflate a little bit and weren't quite at their peak.
2023
So now we're finally at 2023 and we can see exactly how it stacks up to our champion. Before doing that though let's see what 2023 brought to the table.
First up we had Miyu Kiyohara. I think a lot of people have been enjoying her quite a bit, she certainly has a fantastic pair of tits. Very full that look quite nice, especially with how veiny they are.
Haru was my pick last year for best tits among debuts and I don't think you have to look twice to see what I was cooking. I will admit that sometimes they don't look as big because she towers at a whopping 175cm but 108K are still insane either way.
Ren Gojo comes from the land of gravure and I'm glad she unleashed those puppies for the world to see as they are far too nice to be kept to herself. Some people will point out her pepperoni nipples but I like a bit of spice and hers being different are nice to see.
Lastly we had Momoka Kagura and I was honestly kind of baffled to see them snag a third omega busty actress in a span of three months. I mean just look at those tits, they speak for themselves for sure. She's got other qualities but you could definitely make me a fan just on those tits alone.
First off let's give a congratulations to 2021 for beating out the 10 previous years.
Anyway, I went and reorganized this photo to put all the returning names on the left and we've got six returning names. When you look at the four names on the right... it's not very close. I'd say prime Rara compares well to either Haru or Momoka, in this case I just picked Haru as the direct comparison. So now we're trading Saki, Shion, and Yua to get Momoka, Ren, and Miyu? Yes, YES PLEASE. It just seems like a pure treat for all of us. I'd take Miyu over Shion and I'd call them the weakest and strongest respectively of the mini group there. So yeah, it's a pretty clear win for 2023. I feel like I should say more but it's really kind of obvious to me, 2023 has not only a bunch of banging tits but an insane debut cast and I bet if I bothered to look it's probably the best debut class by a mile as well.
Conclusion
So to answer the original question, yes, the current state of S1 is the best the tits on their roster have ever looked. And in fact we've seen it getting better in recent years considering the second best year was 2021 and third best was 2022. I can finally rest easy knowing the answer to the question is unequivocally yes, they've got something in the water over there.
Before ending the post I thought it would be fun to try to put together a list of the top 10 across the entire past decade and this is what I came up with. Half of them are on the roster today which is pretty insane to think about. It also has me wondering if there's a chance 2024 can beat 2023, which considering the way things are going I suspect is highly likely. Anyway, I've definitely written way too much and you're probably tired of reading by now so I'll leave it at that. Hopefully this has been a fun read, until next time!
Comments
Maybe if some of them start leaving but for now I'm happy with what S1 got. I really hope none of them are a stop-gap because some of them already seem more enthralling than Saki.
Haru Minato. I have a dedicated article about her as part of my 2023 debut articles.
