The Case for Yui Hatano - 5 of Ranelar's Favorite Risky MILF Movies

Yui Hatano is one of my all-time favorite JAV actresses. For those of you who missed my musings on Yui's early career, check it out: The Case for Yui Hatano - An Early Retrospective.  With this one, I'll be talking about five of my favorite MILF-themed movies.  To be more specific, five of them primarily focused on risky relationships.  It's always interesting to see how JAV plays with this concept in its stories, and Yui is no slouch when it comes to acting.  She never phones in her roles, and always gives each performance 110%.

Earlier movies in this genre, like 2010's MILF In Law Adultery - Beautiful Lewd MILF (VENU-069) were too overt with the sex; the stories lacked substance, tension, and enough believability to draw in the viewer.  Yui's wardrobe and makeup made her look too inncent for the role, the lighting was a bit too harsh and glaring, and overall production quality was a bit lackluster.  The studios figured it out eventually, and we were rewarded with some great titles like I want to be your Stepmom (OKSN-059) in 2011, and Is in the next room... (VENU-224) in 2012.  You can read more about those two in the Early Retrospective post.

5. Love Only a MILF Can Have 8 (MOT-019) [2014]

This was one of Studio's first set of releases when they got their start in late 2013.  The studio has since evolved to featuring super big, super plump MILFs with their current Muchimucchi series. I wanted to start with this one, because this film was released a year or two after Yui and her respective AV studios had the MILF role and storylines dialed in.  Yui plays a doting MILF who has no room for anyone else in her life.  The film is broken up into four "situations", starting off with innocence and graduating into a full-on sexual relationship. 

Each scene has its own unique spin on the genre.  The first act is a nurturing, slow sex education scene.  Yui steals the show here with a confident, patient teaching attitude.  The action is a slow burn with plenty of foreplay, and is mainly shot from a delightful POV perspective.  The viewer has the opportunity to see Yui's eyes boring into their soul as she teaches the ways of adult sex.  Granted, she hadn't developed her patented Yui stare at this point, but does a good job of conveying intense, unrestrained hunger.

Production values are pretty good for its time,  Yui's outfits are well put together, realistic, and fit the progression of the narrative.  I liked how the conservative pink pajama she wears in the first scene evolved to a silky, short nightgown hiding sexy lace lingerie by the end of the film.  Lighting is decent, starting off bright during the sex education segment, then turning much darker and sultry in the final encounter.  The backdrops seemed a bit cramped, which likely led to the director closing the camera in tight on most shots.

My favorite scene is the last situation, where Yui punishes the male lead for talking to another girl on the phone.  Kudos to the actor in this scene, his compelling reactions allowed Yui to flex her acting chops and play off of that fear.  Everyone knows the feeling of terror after being caught doing something wrong, especially when their parent seems so eerily calm about it.  Yui unleashes her inner sadist here, teasing, spanking, and humiliating him until she lets him fuck her silly. Giving out punishment isn't common in this JAV genre, these films are usually fraught with reluctance, willing education, or straight up violation.  It's quite the flip from the first scene, and makes this movie quite unique.  Overall, this is a fine film that lets Yui "play" a bit more with the MILF role in the JAV sandbox.

4. A MILF's Love Story (GVG-526) [2017]

This Glory Quest AV focuses on Yui as a widowed woman trying to make ends meet.  The husband's memorial shrine is the main set piece that serves as the cornerstone for the plot.  It symbolizes the absence of the step-parent in their lives, and the main obstacle blocking the development of their sexual relationship.  The genius of this shrine is that it allows Yui to voice her internal thoughts and feelings aloud.  It also lets her showcase and express her the inner turmoil, confusion, and dilemma she faces in her decision whether or not to push things further. 

The studio did a good job with presentation.  The sets and lighting are sophisticated and elegant, with careful attention to detail on the day/night cycle.  Wardrobe is quite appropriate, the demure housewife outfits look great on Yui.  Yui's partner is also well cast and believable in a newer role -- his shorter stature and skinny frame sells the look.  The tone of the movie is pensive, with many interludes featuring a quiet, contemplative silence.  It's a slow burn, giving the viewer time to understand and empathize in order to walk with them on their journey.

The sex is rather vanilla, as it typically is with most other AVs in this genre.  Yui, as usual, gives an energetic, lively performance.  She has a glassy-eyed, unfocused 1000 yard stare she's made to provide a sexual lesson in the first scene -- you can tell she's clearly conflicted and in a hurry to get things over with.  Yui contrasts her ambivalence later with passionate aggression, after she makes the conscious choice to replace her departed husband with someone new.  She begs, even insists on a creampie, and consummates their relationship at the end.  I liked the suspense the director built over the span of the film, and and never felt a rush or impatience to jump to the conclusion.

3. Her Hot Body, Her Musty Pussy, A Stepparent Unable To Resist Their Basic Instinct To Fuck  (VENU-766) [2018]

Sweaty movies are awesome.  Visually, I love how the skin glistens when it's wet -- it's sticky and the scent is quite primal.  The attractiveness of a sweaty, shiny body is analogous to why Hollywood movie makers wet the streets when filming outdoors at night.  Wet streets bring out the deeper dark contrasts against the lighting, and reflect various aspects of the background, making the scene prettier and more three-dimensional.  It's the same with soapland and sweaty JAV; it places a spotlight on the actresses' assets and curves and brings the scene to life.

This movie delineates Yui's aggressive and submissive personalities with the use of a dream sequence, where the main character fantasizes about having some sweaty sex with Yui after a hard workout.  It's a great scene, and starts with Yui exercising with an ab roller.  While she doesn't do full ab extensions through her set, I'm still impressed she committed to a full 20+ reps for the video.  Snap to the fantasy sequence, and Yui's outfit changes from athletic shorts and t-shirt to spaghetti straps and see-through panties -- more sweaty, and way more dazzling.  Compared to Love Only a MILF Can Have 8 (MOT-019), discussed earlier on the list, Yui's amazing body is just a bit thicker, and gives her a voluptuous, full-figured appeal, intensified by her ethereal look in this film.  The sex is sweaty and zealous, just like in any man's fantasy.

Studio Venus brought their A-game with production.  It's usually tricky to get the lighting right when filming indoors, wet/sweaty AVs always risk washing out the actresses with too much illumination.  They did a great job with this one, as the contrast and light balance are perfect, showcasing Yui's pastel, subtly tan physique.  The sets are par for the course, and the high quality outfits are form-fitting and provocative.  Using an ab roller as a sex toy is a new one to me, but it works!  Yui's overall performance is pretty good, her reverse cowgirl jack hammering in the last scene is especially great to watch.  Again, there's nothing out of the ordinary sexually in this one, but I highly recommend this this one for folks who love the wet and the sweat.

2. MILF On Vacation At The Onsen (BKD-188) [2017]

I've always had a soft spot for this type of vacation movie, where they bathe each other in an onsen, wear yukatas, and have a lot of steamy sex.  In this one, the male lead is grown but still isn't independent.  He looks to Yui for every decision and action he takes.  This is a coming of age movie -- where he finally finds his own voice and self-reliance after losing his virginity to her, and learns the meaning of true autonomy through assertively fucking Yui to his own satisfaction and desires.

Yui is quite convincing in this one, starting the film with a maternal, protective attitude.  There is a casual, naive playfulness between the two, as if the main character wasn't emotionally mature.  Their initial interactions are innocent, with him playing with Yui's breasts in the onsen as if they were toys. The storytelling gives the impression that he didn't quite understand the concept of female attraction and the rushing hormones that come with it.

After she pops his cherry with a doting, educational lesson, she considers him an adult, ready to experience her raunchy filthiness.  The juxtaposition of these two scenes bring out the changing nature of their relationship.  The dirty talk between the two during sex make the fucking that much hotter.  I won't spoil it, but if you are into edging, there's a bunch of it in this production - both ways!  It's a constant back and forth battle for dominance until one comes out on top.  It was captivating to watch Yui get pounded hard and take it like a champ.

Studio Ruby's Tabiji series goes back to 2005, so they've had plenty of time to perfect the formula for this particular storyline.  As a result, the presentation is close to perfection.  Sets are clean, sophisticated, and properly lit.  The director gives us great close-ups of Yui's well-endowed body in the onsen, wardrobe is on point, and the meaty, dynamite script allows her to truly shine in this AV.

1. Creampie Soapland - My First Time At A Brothel For Mature Women, The MILF I Chose Was Yui Hatano (VAGU-126) [2015]

At number one on this list, this film is the pinnacle of her risky MILF achievements -- an amalgamation of soapland, sex education, forbidden relationships, and Yui Hatano!  Studio Venus really knocked it out of the park with this gem; you haven't truly had the Yui experience until you've watched it.  I loved everything about this film, and while the scenes were set primarly in a soapland, the authenticity and realism of the situation the film conveys easily pulls the viewer into this ideal fantasy.  I find myself coming back to this one again and again, as the film really places the viewer in the main character's shoes to experience this amazing story. 

Imagine being a nervous virgin, calling up a soapland to book a girl to learn about sex.  You show up, so scared and nervous that you keep your eyes shut the moment the girl comes in, and she gives you the finest, heart-stopping, white-knuckled sloppy blowjob ever.  You open your eyes after an earth-shattering orgasm, and find a hot, sexy MILF kneeling subserviently in front of you.  And that's just the first 15 minutes!

Yui's performance is the best I've seen in this genre.  She's able to blend together being a guardian, a soapland professional determined to provide a first-class experience, eagerness to educate, and her passionate desire for sex.  Both scenes take their time to set the stage before moving on to fantastic examples of soap play, with a good sprinkle of backstory and character progression.  Yui's signature moan and mesmerizing gaze take center stage, along with her usual enthusiasm and sexual adeptness.  There are a number of incredible blowjob and girl-on-top snippets that will burn themselves permanently into the viewer's memory.

In Closing

So that's my list.  After having the opportunity to watch these movies back to back for this post, I can say that Yui has aged like a fine wine.  Very few actresses can even come close to her level of sexual skill, timeless beauty, and theatrics.  She is truly a Japanese national treasure, and the AV industry is fortunate to have so many great films with this wonderful actress.  I know a lot of you are Yui fans as well, and have your cherished favorites.  What did I miss?  What other MILF themed risky movies deserve a good look?  Let me know!
