When one associates lesbians and JAV--or lesbians with any type of adult film production, really--you probably think women 'playing the part'.  A major complaint we've heard is just how 'fake' lesbian titles can be.  As a heterosexual male, I can't vouch for the realism.  I've personally never been involved in any lesbian encounters and probably won't ever be for some obvious 'equipment' reasons, but I do hear that a lot of the extreme moaning and the scissoring is total fakery.  The finger and kissing?  Real, apparently.

Enter Director BYAKKO, probably the *only* director in the entire JAV industry who pretty much does nothing but same-sex titles.  Lesbians are all he cares about and within that world of play, his bread-and-butter appears to be movies with Yuri themes.  We've already shown a fantastic ghost story title by him and have quite a few more planned with most being Japanese adult video depictions of Yuri romances.

YURI--or innocent and young Japanese schoolgirls discovering true love in its most physical forms--is the best way to sum up today's and Friday's double update, OUR SECRET SPECIAL PLACE.  It's lovey-dovey to the max.  The unabashed adoration between each pair of Japanese schoolgirls reaches levels so high the cloyness may require you to don a breathing apparatus in order to make it through each scene.  This is NOT a title about 'fake' lesbian play.  OK, some scissoring does occur and the final scene in Part Two on the (fake) train (set) has squirting, but aside from that, it's all natural play.  No toys and no going over the top for a male audience (even though it's safe to say the majority of those who view this will be men!).

OUR SECRET SPECIAL PLACE cleanly splits into two acts:  the first features MAMIKA MOMOHARA and KOHARU AOI, both newcomers to ZENRA.  The second stars TSUMUGI SERIZAWA and YURI SHINOMIYA, two actresses we've shown previously in a great lesbian nanpa title produced by HOT ENTERTAINMENT.  I don't know too much about either, but you can probably consider same-sex titles like these to be well within their safe zone though I do believe both have done heterosexual work as well.

One of the things that caught my attention right away was the setting for the bulk of the title:  the same factory used in the Pan-Pan Girls historical drama update from last year by ORGA.  I've no idea who owns this factory and I'm surprised there's such a place available for shooting.  The fact that two JAV studios totally unaffiliated with each other used the same expansive set means it definitely is possible to rent it out though in Japan's increasingly depopulated countryside, these types of 'abandoned' factories are a dime-a-dozen.

Before working on this title, I perused some Japanese-language movie sites and the overall reviews for OUR SECRET SPECIAL PLACE were OK.  A complaint I saw repeated a few times was the annoyance at so many close-ups.  Yes, this title does feature TONS of instances of the camera lingering almost too long on zoomed-in shots of kissing schoolgirls.  Full body shots of course are present, but I've a feeling Director BYAKKO is a huge fan of facial emotions thus elected to focus more on them than the 'big picture'.  Other updates by him via V&R don't seem to linger up close as much so if you really don't like the filming technique used in OUR SECRET SPECIAL PLACE, but do love Yuri titles, just keep your seatbelt fastened.

V&R and BYAKKO made a sequel to OUR SECRET SPECIAL PLACE.  We didn't elect to license it initially though if we hear enough positive feedback for today's update, perhaps we may acquire it for a future English-subtitled release on ZENRA.  Either way, lesbians will forever remain a regular fixture in our update schedule.
