JAV Hall of Fame - Inductees - Class of 2017

Published : April 23rd, 2025 Written by Oppaira

Hey guys, Oppaira here, back with another Hall of Fame post. I won't bore you with all the stuff, but if you want you want to see the Hall of Fame post you can view it here and if you want to see the preview for this ballot you can look here. Without further ado let's go see what happened.

Inductee #1

Our first entry is someone who just bubbled last time around. The first ballot was obviously stacked and we kind of knew some of the greats would sadly miss the mark. It's to probably no surprise that Kaho made it in this time. Anyone watching JAV back in the day knew just what a force she was, being part of the golden days of Idea Pocket. Welcome to the Hall of Fame, Kaho Kasumi!

Inductee #2

Second up is t he original oppai goddess Rio Hamasaki. She was the big boob actress back in the day, having a prolific career for the time. Remember, JAV has evolved over the years, and Rio was last active just as the scene was exploding to what it was today. To have that kind of career back then was something magical, and if you were watching JAV 15-20 years ago and loved busty women, you sure as heck were watching Rio. She was truly one of the best freelancers of the time and her induction is proof of that. Welcome to the Hall of Fame, Rio Hamasaki!

Voting Results

As I've done before, included is the vote percentage this time around. Both Kaho and Rio were safely in there with the cutoff being 9/12 votes.

Ai Sayama and Kirara Asuka fell one vote short of making it in each. They were definitely two of the prime candidates from the 2008 debuts and while they had strong first showings, they ultimately fell short of the mark. I feel like Ai Sayama has a slightly higher chance to make it in since she's still active, but she's retiring pretty soon and her odds of making it in will definitely go down, so now is the time to squeak in a spot for her.

What's interesting is seeing that there were just two inductees this time around. It feels both right and wrong for different reasons. It feels wrong knowing there are great actresses missing out, and as I pointed out, they just narrowly missed out being one vote shy. You know, maybe someone voting for Hino Hikari or Nana Miyachi could have swapped a vote and just like that they would be in. It almost makes you wonder if 70% is too high and we should drop it to two thirds where they would have made it in. On the flip side, I think this makes a lot of sense. Most traditional Hall of Fames don't max out every year, and there are definitely memorable names that don't make the cut. Remember, this is supposed to be for legendary actresses that are enshrined as the greatest of all time, not just a bunch of popular names. Will we start seeing people swap their votes off to get some actresses into the Hall of Fame? We'll have to see what happens next time!

At any rate we'll have to see where things land in future years as we go through it. Next year has a few heavy hitters, including one with the potential for the first unanimous inductee. But I'll leave going into that detail to the next ballot preview post. As always, I hope you've enjoyed and I hope you look forward to the next one. Until next time!

Age Verification

To comply with legal requirements in specific countries and states, you’ll need to verify your age to continue.

Verify your age by

Recently a number of US states and a few countries of note have enacted age verification requirements for adult sites. On the US front at least, legal experts both within and outside of our industry do not believe any will pass a constitutional test. However, since these laws currently are on the books and thus have the ability to be enforced, we are choosing to comply with them at this point in time.

ZENRA uses (and as an aside: 99% of the time a site says they have "teamed up" with so-and-so to provide random service, it really just means that like us, they're a business customer and nothing more) Bluecheck.me, a third party verification service, to perform this important task easy to install filtering software does infinitely better.

Information used in the verification process is not stored on our servers. Phone number and address verification is instant and uses database cross referencing (no calls, no SMS messages, nothing mailed to the address). ID verification takes about one minute and is performed 'blind' on Bluecheck's side where the ID is reviewed by someone unaware of what service the submitter is attempting to access.

Regardless of what method you choose, it costs you nothing, but does increase the cost of our operations in order to somehow make the internet a 'safer' place.
