I've always been a fan of Tsukasa Aoi, and have watched her consistently since her debut in 2010.  With this film's release in 2020, it's pretty fitting that this video is titled "It's Been Ten Years Since My Home Room Teacher Took My Virginity And Turned My World Upside-Down" (SSNI-889).  It truly has been 10 years since Tsukasa first took my breath away with her first AV, "Definitely Barely Legal" (DV-1195).  She had a young, innocent look coupled with delightful energy and a willingness to learn.  Her natural eye contact with the camera and tight, lithe body eager to perform quickly launched her career with Alice Japan.

To be honest, I lost interest in Tsukasa in 2018, after her breast enhancement and switch to a shorter hairstyle.  I was so used to her playing the younger sexpot roles that I was unconvinced that she could make the jump to more mature, older genres.  Her breasts looked unnaturally about-to-burst full, and I've never been a fan of short boyish hairstyles.

I took a chance on this one, and I was glad I decided to watch.  Our first glimpse of Tsukasa as she stops mid-stroll and looks at the camera with a knowing smile quickly made me re-evaluate my opinion of her.  She was no longer the youthful starlet just coming onto the scene that I remember.  In those brief moments at the beginning of the film, I saw a confident, elegant, and sophisticated woman who knew who she was and what she wanted.

Plot

This film is about "the one that got away".  A lot of us have that one person that thought they were supposed to end up with, but due to circumstances or fate, it was never meant to be.  The one where you wish you could go back in time and do things differently, in the hopes that things would work out.  This is a reunion story, told from the perspective of a former student of Tsukasa's.  The setting is 10 years after parting with his former teacher and lover.  He's married to another woman, has a career, but still thinks a lot about Tsukasa.  The story spends a lot of time setting up the history between student and Tsukasa, starting with his first day in class, to her helping him with his studies and ultimately consummating their relationship with some steamy first-time sex.  It's solely 1:1 action throughout the film, and by the end of it, I could really empathize with the main character and his ill-fated search to find his one true love.

Appearance and Performance

S1 did a great job with putting Tsukasa in tasteful, demure outfits.  They were conservative, chic, and not super form-fitting.  No cleavage showing, no ridiculously high slit on her skirts. The director did not focus on hyper-sexualizing the teacher fetish with odd angles or focusing in on Tsukasa's assets during the story-building scenes, which was very refreshing.  There's no "sexy teacher fucks everyone" vibe here. I counted a total of 7 individual outfits, each one fully fleshed-out.  Her outfit in the first sex scene in particular was very stylish -- a flowy white blouse with a grey pencil skirt, matched to identical-colored pumps, and accessorized with a thin beige belt with gold hardware.  Simply perfection.

Tsukasa completely owns the look with a contemplative, nurturing attitude and a patient, experienced temperament that only the best of teachers truly exemplify.  Her exemplary dramatic performance really kept me engaged throughout the video, wanting to know what would happen next.  I felt a sense of intense yearning in my own life for relationships past, reminiscing about the good times and thinking about the what-if's.

Tsukasa, as always, is in fantastic shape.  I loved her ever-so-mildly toned body, flat stomach, and beautiful ass.  After 10 years, her ass is still an inviting, perfectly pliable wide peach, just like I remember from Meijiri (DV-1225) back in 2011.  The unnatural perkiness of her augmented breasts still bothered me a bit, but I got over it pretty quickly as her fantastic show overshadowed any minor blemishes in her appearance.

Sex

The action was well-done. Three major sex scenes, all of them 1:1, and two shorter snippets to sell the development of their relationship over time.  The scenes have a good amount of foreplay, great for viewers who want to put themselves in the shoes of the main character, experiencing sex with their favorite teacher for the first time.  It was a pleasant surprise and very in-character to see Tsukasa pull out a condom during their first sex scene.  She shows a good range of ability throughout the film, starting with a somewhat educational introduction to sex, letting her student first learn the ropes and giving him some free reign to do what he wanted. 

The final scene of the film shows her flipping the script a little bit and taking control with some focused aggression.  There were a variety of good positions, a lot of cowgirl and doggy to show off her amazing ass.  There's no sense of urgency for either of them to finish -- you can tell they just wanted to enjoy each other's company.  Don't expect anything extreme in this AV, as the plot is strictly sweet and romantic.

Production

This AV was cinematically shot like a typical high school J-drama.  Production quality is high, which is par for the course for S1.  Scenes are well lit, colorful and vibrant.  The white uniforms and outfits really pop crisply against the backdrop, and the sex scenes benefit from a warm, golden hour sunset glow.  As a result, the relationship between Tsukasa and her student feels almost dream-like, with the amber luminescence from the soft lights giving off a wistful sense of nostalgia.  The director makes a point to contrast any scenes that don't strictly feature Tsukasa with more realistic lighting, conveying a stark feeling that jolts the viewer back to reality.  Overall, S1 has done a great job of selling this romance.

Overall Satisfaction

This film ultimately brought me back to Tsukasa Aoi, and convinced me that she truly is worth staying in my list of top actresses.  She delivers in every scene, and her enthusiasm in delivering great sex hasn't changed over the last 10 years.  SSNI-889 is a fantastic slow burn of a popular theme, with a roller-coaster of emotions to set the tone and overall mood.  With fantastic production values, realistic set pieces and whimsical cinematography, this is one of S1's great films of 2020.  Tsukasa is perfect in her role, and her performance let me view her in an entirely new light.  She held my attention throughout the movie with her cool, confident presence, and kept me reminiscing long after I finished watching.  Don't let her be "the one that got away".
