More, more, and more until it hurts

Our second episode gets back to basics to do what Naked Director does best. Ridiculous sex scenes and the absurdity of the behind the scenes production. The episode starts with Toru determined to raise enough funds to get fulfill his dreams of broadcasting his porn throughout the world without all the restrictions. And the only way to do that is to sell, sell, sell.

Toru’s aggressiveness forces the naive Mitamura into the spotlight. Our virginal gopher is made to perform as an adult actor and of course he can’t handle the pressure. He prematurely ejaculates into an actresses face and so the ‘facial’ is invented. The show seems to boldly proclaim that Toru and Mitamura invented the facial cum shot in JAV. I am not an expert in porn history but even I can smell the BS. It seems the show is just as bold and boisterous as their lead character.

But Toru and gang are not done. Taking a cue from one of their actresses, Sapphire makes a smash hit based on a celebrity sex story. The money is rolling in and everyone in Sapphire is high on their own success. Everyone save for Kawada. Toru’s recklessness is causing problem after problem for the president of Sapphire. He has to deal with each and every problem but it is the direction of the company that truly bothers him.

Kawada mainly joined Toru because of his love for Toru and Kaoru’s video. The sex and sensuality resonated with Kawada. Now it seems Toru and Sapphire are a shell of themselves, chasing after Yen signs than real erotica. The trends and controversy hold no interest for the former fan of Toru. This all comes at a head during a company party when Kawada confronts Toru. “I can’t jerk off to this” he shouts loudly. A giggle inducing piece of dialogue that is anything but a joke for Kawada. It ends with the two splitting up and Kawada alone with the rest of the company following Toru.

The second episode does a great job of balancing the funny, outrageous porn plots with the larger dramatic story lines that are still developing. We see the mad genius of Toru and also how he is barreling towards self destruction. He is as successful as ever and here he is without his biggest fan and partner.

Toshi the Yakuza

The Toshi subplot is started proper. He is now working as a low ranking Yakuza member and while the boss may like him, life is not so rosy for the new criminal. He may have a new love interest but seeing Toru and Sapphire’s success still burns him to this day.

JAV Star Watch

Too many to count or recognize. The only scenes show a flurry of minor celebs and JAV stars.  Three big names and (nude) faces I recognized were Ken Shimizu aka Shimiken doing what he does best and Tsukasa Aoi looking terrific as usual. However it is former pop star and member of AK48, Yuka Masuda with the biggest role.

She plays Roma, an actress with Sapphire and helps create their pop star sex video. A tongue in cheek reference to her former career. It seems The Naked Director will only be bursting at the seems with it’s cameos, if you can spot whose who then chime in below.
