Tifa.  I am obsessed with Tifa Lockhart.  Any weeb worth their salt is familiar with the dark-haired, buxom beauty from the Final Fantasy series.  We're going to look today at the best (and worst) of the Tifa-themed JAVs.  Much like the Oscars, we're going to focus on movies that best exemplify categories that truly bring out the true essence of Tifa; what makes her the ideal, perfect girl in our eyes.

 

Who is Tifa Lockhart?

For those of you JAV fans who've lived under a rock for the past since 1997, Tifa was one of the main female leads in Final Fantasy VII, Square's genre-defining Playstation JRPG.  The New York Times featured her as the pin-up girl for the "cyber generation" in 1998, and this fictional character has consistently been at the top of the "best of" gaming babes lists.  Electronic Gaming Monthly called Tifa "as well-proportioned as they come", GameFront put her in the top ten of "the greatest boobs in video game history", and IGN's Final Fantasy reader's choice in 2008 placed Tifa first because of "One word: Boobs."  Her measurements, while not exceeding the golden ratio of 1.618, come in at 1.5.  That's Mion Sonoda-level of perfect proportions.  

Tifa's come a long way from 1997.  The first Sony Playstation revolutionized console gaming in 3D, but since it was a pioneer, blocky character models challenged us to fill in the blanks with our vivid imaginations.  Thankfully, the explosion of the franchise due to the succcess of Final Fantasy VII brought us many iterations of Tifa, each new vision better than the one that came before.  The latest Tifa whose beauty has graced mainstream culture came to us in the PS5 and PC release of Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade, released in 2021.  Tifa's iconic white crop top and black miniskirt combination shows off that fine midriff many of us dreamed about in our youth.

 

 

There have been a number of Tifa-themed JAV over the years.  Some are full length films, others are single-scene snippets in an actress' cosplay release.  I went down the rabbit hole (as far back as the early 2000's) to find out which real-life AV starlet could serve as the "best" Tifa Lockhart.

Now, dont get me wrong -- there's plenty of unnoficial and fan-made CG hentai that fit the bill perfectly -- just look up Bulging Senpai and Juicyneko for high quality Tifa fan service.  She's so popular that a spicy video crashed an Italian senate Zoom meeting in 2022, which created endless memes and calls for Tifa to be Italy's national mascot. Category 1. Authenticity, Set and Costume Design

 

 

 

CSCT-010 FINAL FUCKER.VH MAKE LOVE - Kurea Hasumi

I gotta say, TMA really knocked it out of the park with this one.  Kurea Hasumi was up to the task, she's pretty solid in the acting department.  You can tell the director played Final Fantasy VII Remake: there's almost a shot-for-shot recreation of the iconic Seventh Heaven bar drink-making scene.  Tifa makes a drink with a cocktail shaker and slides the glass down the bar to Cloud.  Seventh Heaven itself was pretty close to what it looks like in Remake, complete with neon lights, bar tools, and cupboards behind the bar.

TMA put effort into Tifa's outfit as well. Kurea rocks the classic black and white crop top with a black miniskirt and suspenders. The gloves and hairstyle are on point, and she even wears red contacts to complete the look. I'm most impressed with the attention to detail to her shoes -- the red high-top trainers with black soles are a spot-on match with the Remake! This was definitely a high quality production.

Hell, they even dressed the male lead as Cloud, complete with an armored shoulder pad, spiked gloves, and blonde wig. This is a POV title where the viewer doesn't really get a full shot of the main character, and they still didn't cut any corners.  I loved this film.  There's a lot of great POV sex, and Kurea never disappoints.  You could probably intercut the dramatic clips from Remake with sex scenes in this JAV, and it would be pretty close.  My only criticism: Kurea really doesn't look much like Tifa, my guess is TMA chose a girl with enough star power to sell copies rather than find a real-life twin.  Great job, TMA.

 

Category 2. Closest to Tifa's dimensions

 

 

16ID-024 Cosplay - Hikari Hino

Out of all of the girls who played Tifa in JAV, Hikari Hino comes closest to Tifa's actual dimensions.  At 165cm, B93/W56/H86 with G-cups, Hikari's almost an exact match for both height and proportions.  She was also 22 when this film was released in 2008, so that tracks pretty closely to Tifa at 20.  But who am I kidding, AV actress ages are just as made-up as those of fictional video game characters.  Still, this scene in Hikari's cosplay video shows off Hikari's body in all the right ways.

She spends most of her time on top, which gives us a great view of her wonderfully substantial rack, tiny waist with a washboard stomach, and shapely ass.  She really takes that shaft to the hilt with some really aggressive and firm pounding. I'm almost convinced that CG artist Bulging Senpai (source: Bulging Senpai) might haven taken this scene as inspiration for one of their latest Tifa creations, they're pretty similar if you place them side by side.  If I could provide one bit of criticism, I would have liked to see more of her height showcased in this AV. Tt's a shame we were limited to just one scene here with no real story to go with it.

SNIS-608 Cosplayer With The Super Golden Ration BODY. Clothed Sex With 5 Transformations Before Cumming - Aika Yumeno

If you've read Ranelar's 5 under 5' - A Look at Five Busty Nymphs Under Five Feet Tall, you know I'm a huge fan of Aika Yumeno.  Her body comes in at a perfect, petite 10 on the AV rating scale.  There's one chapter in this cosplay film that focuses on Tifa, and it's pretty good. Aika's costume is a decent effort, with an emphasis on everything being way too short and way too tight -- which, for the "Best Body" category, is a good thing.  After a short sparring with an unnamed male lead, they quickly get to sexy time.  

 

Aika is easily dominated and chained up, and her costume is hiked up but not removed to keep up the fantasy that we're experiencing Tifa here. The voluptuous curves on that pint-sized frame she's famous for are on full display.  She is at her best when she's being straight up used, and goes from relucant to just giving in at the end.  There's some great missionary, cowgirl, but a somewhat lackluster shot to the face in the end.  This AV makes me wish Square Enix created Tifa to be way more petite, and a tad more stacked.  After all, the title of this film is all about Aika's "super" golden ratio body.

 

 

Category 4. Best Sexual Performance

 

 

 

MIDE-297 Cosplayers With Hot Bodies and SUPER Colossal Tits 6 Changes - Aimi Yoshikawa

This was a pretty easy one. Aimi Yoshikawa had the only legitimate 3p scene out of all of the Tifa-themed JAV out there.  It starts straight into some 3p foreplay, and gradually escalates to some breathtaking, lively action.  Production quality is average, the scene is filmed in a dim basement, they put some effort into Aimi's costume, and there are various props on set to assist with the kama sutra of positions on display. 

 

 

There's a good amount of oral activity -- I'm not going to name all the positions, but all I'll say is that Aimi is a master of multi-tasking.  It's rare to see a girl simultaneously provide paizuri and a blowjob to two different dudes.  The chapter runs at quite a leisurely pace, so the viewer has time to take it all in.  I was pretty impressed with both Aimi's ability to Eiffel Tower and later get penetrated standing up in an assortment of flashy styles.  Everything about Aimi's athletic ability defies her eye-watering, juicy H-cup breasts with an ass to match.  Definitely watch this.

 

Category 5. Biggest Boobs

 

 

SNIS-656 Hot Cosplayer With A Gorgeous Body With Golden Proportions - Clothed Sex In 7 Different Costumes! - RION

While Aimi has some huge knockers, I found a Tifa cosplayer who was even bigger.  Rara Anzai's got J-cups, and is a fan favorite among the writers here!  Few girls can hit a 105cm bust size and still maintain amazing proportions and overall beauty.  Regarding the actual film, I'll say this up front and keep it short -- there's no actual sex in this dragging, tedious half hour scene, only some digital penetration.  Rara's generous cleavage is on full display, though, so if you want a Tifa with the biggest boobs, Rara's got you (somewhat) covered.

 

Category 6. Closest Look-a-Like

 

 

 

[GHMT-22] Beautiful Fighter Tifa - Shameful Orgasm Surender Hell - Shiori Kuraki

Shiori Kuraki takes the award for closest look-a-like to Tifa's appearance in Remake.  Her facial features, especially her large eyes, pointed nose and high cheekbones would make them look like sisters if you put them side-by-side.  Add the hairstyle, makeup and a decent attempt at the outfit, and Shiori's definitely in the ballpark.  Extra points for a decent attempt at acting at the beginning.  This film starts with some story, but devolves into straight-up torture porn.  Giga could have saved the film at the end by capping it with some plot, but it just ends in a puddle of hopelessness.  This wasn't my favorite film, I would have liked to see what Shiori could have done in place of Kurea Hasumi in TMA's FINAL FUCKER.VH MAKE LOVE.

 

Category 7. Who I Think Should Play Tifa

 

 

Riho Agatsuma

After a thorough analysis of the plethora of Tifas in the JAV ecosystem, I wanted to round things out by offering my recommendation for a current AV starlet to play the role.  As you know, Riho Agatsuma has been back for a minute.  She oozes ultimate MILF energy with her seemingly natural, buoyant G-cups, and started with Madonna before moving on to Dahlia.  I really think she would be great as Tifa, with a few caveats.  Let me explain.  

 

First, her proportions are pretty close to Tifa's, and while Riho's a little shorter, I like my girls on the petite side.  Second, Riho's alluring, anime-like face straddles the line between Japanese and Western, much like Tifa's.  I think with the right investment into outfit, hair and makeup, she would bring a sense of elegance to the character.  Third, she can be extremely expressive with her eyes, which she's mostly used to convey a quiet somberness.  Last, her sensual, hungry performance style would work well in a romantic Tifa/Cloud themed AV, like the TMA film at the start of the list.

 

However, in order to really nail the role, Riho would need to lose some belly fat. She's always had a bit of a pouch throughout her career, accompanied with some stretch marks.  Tifa is best known for her flat, taut midriff -- it's an important part of her overall look. In fact, if Riho toned up in general, she'd probably take the overall spot for best Tifa.  The likelihood of all of this happening, however, is low. Her latest release schedule has been spotty and inconsistent. Moreover, Riho is currently exclusive to Studio Dahlia, and they don't do cosplay.  

 

Category 8. The Worst Tifa

 

 

 

FGAN-028 An Unexpected Erection A Beautiful Girl Bares Her Panties Mako - Mako Shion

Before I wrap this up, I wanted to share some of the pain I went through to discover the best by calling out the worst Tifa-themed JAV.  

This one was really bad.  Mako Shion had no idea who she was cosplaying.  Sure, she put on an costume that somewhat resembled Tifa, but then she started playing with a plastic...revolver?  That's just all sorts of wrong, inaccurate, and downright silly.  Tifa's weapons are her fists, she has never held anything close to a gun in any of the official games or movies.  And she has terrible trigger discipline, what if that thing was real and actually loaded?  The sex is pretty lackluster, and the girl looks nothing like Tifa.  All of this, and the lack of any story elements puts this film at the bottom.

 

To Conclude
